History of Orangecrest ASA
Orangecrest ASA was formed in January of 2007. It was formed in order to teach our girls the right way to play the game of softball. While Little League is a tremendous organization, it teaches girls how to play baseball. Through ASA, we have begun to teach the girls the rules they will need to know to play high school and college softball.
Below is a recap of Orangecrest ASA's successes since we formed the all girls league. Thanks to the managers, coaches, team moms and players who have helped in making the OCASA name.
The future for the league looks bright as we continue to transition our league into a more competitive endeavor. Thanks to the players who put Orangecrest ASA on the map. We look forward to adding many more names to this list:
In the spring of 2007, Orangecrest ASA made a name for itself as the league's 14U and 12U all-star teams each won the Eastern District Championship and represented the league at the state championship in San Diego.
In 2007, the 14U team finished 5th in the state, while the 12U team placed 6th.

2007 8U All-Stars became the first Orangecrest ASA all-star team to win a tournament when they captured the Beaumont Tournament. In the spring of 2008, Orangecrest ASA saw its reputation for quality softball grow as the league became the first Eastern Division program to have three teams qualify for the National Finals in a single all-star season. The 12U, 14U and high school team all qualified for the respective National Championship Tournaments.
